You will probably notice some similarities with the recently patched Everybody's Golf with regards to how the system determines the power of your throws.
"In order to do that, we decided to tie the velocity of the pitch to how far you reach back (away from the PS Eye) to set your "potential power" and how fast you swing your arm through to determine your "actual power"."
Hopefully it works better than it does in Sony's golf sim. Going by the detailed description provided tho, I'm confident it will.
And here is how you can save some money if you are considering purchasing both the PS3 and the Vita versions of MLB 12 The Show, again courtesy of the PlayStation Blog.

Note: You can transfer your MLB 12 The Show save files between your PS3 or Vita through the PlayStation Network, which means you can halt the game on one system and resume on the other. Mind you the Vita version requires a memory card, sold separately.
